There are 8 swimming events in 7 days. It is a real swimming vacation, but not so much that you couldn’t do all the races and lots of other things too! And there is a lot to do in Mallorca.
This is the longest race in the Colonia Classics. The Colonia Classic III – “Es Trenc Beach Race” and runs alongside of one of Europe’s most well known beaches, Es Trenc, famous for its incredible stretch of beautiful sand and the amazing turquoise water. The race is a “there and back”, multi-lap loop that leaves from the Marques beach and returns from the small hamlet of Ses Covetes. To celebrate the 2016 Rio Olympics we keep our stantard 7km distance but also added a 10km option too.
You’ll be swimming over some of the most beautiful and clear sea water in the Mediterranean, so not only will you love this race, but you’ll love Mallorca too. It is an incredibly beautiful island with so much to do there after your race too. There are spectacular tours through the historic city of Palma, or visit the Caves of Drach, or sailing, horseback riding, hot air balloon and jeep excursions too! There is waterparks, Marineland, aquariums, markets, shopping… just about everything you can think of. And if you are a triathlete, feel free to bring your bike, you might be able to train with riders from the Tour de France that train here too!
The great thing about this race is that it is part of a multi-day “Swim Festival”, put on by Best Fest. You will likely want to do more than one race on your trip. The festival runs from the end of May to early June.
This swim trip is an easy trip to convince the whole family and all the friends to join you!
