The Grand Dublin Swim is another fantastic celebration of the fun and excitement that is Irish open water swimming culture.

Taking place on July 28, 2018, in the heart of Dublin, the swim appeals to those of all abilities.

The different distances make the event accessible to those of varying skill levels including those new to the sport, including the following distances: 250m, 750m, 1.6k(1mile), 5k & 10k!

The 10km event provides a challenge for even the most hardened open water enthusiasts, many of whom in the past have used the event as a training swim for their North Channel or English Channel crossing attempts!

The event is affiliated with Swim Ireland and the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association as well, providing swimmers with excellent race organization.

All swims take place in the River Liffey, a river that weaves through the heart of Dublin and is home to the historic Liffey Swim as well. The fun runs through most of the day with excited spectators out to line the sides of the river to cheer you on.

This one makes a great swim trip, Dublin is an easily accessible city destination from much of the world and offers beautiful history and quintessential Irish charm.

Come for a weekend and experience the Grand Dublin Swim and check out all the Irish capital has to offer. Like the race’s slogan says, come out and #BeAPartOfIt
