And it is quite a jump.

All swimmers know about escaping from Alcatraz, well this is kind of the east coast equivalent.  Except instead of escaping “from” Alcatraz, you are escaping “to” Lewes.  And that you do that by jumping about 12 feet off the end of the Cape May to Lewes Ferry and into the Delaware Bay!

That get’s the blood pumping.

From that incredible start you then swim with hundreds (it’s capped at 1,000!) like minded adventurous swimmers along the beautiful backdrop of the “Breakwater” in the National Harbor of Refuge and back to shore in Lewes.
