Only days after Croatia joined the Global Swim Series by adding the Raslina Swimming Marathon, comes the first GSS race in the Philippines: “GSS – Philippines” will be the first Global Swim Series race in the Philippines and is being offered by the S-Link Sports Management team on June 25, 2017!

This will be a perfect fit in this country of islands.  There are actually 7,641 islands in the Philippines.  Each with picturesque sandy beaches that lead to warm, crystal clear, tropical waters.  In fact, given its location near the equator, swim season is all year long!

More specifically the race will be held in the popular tourist location of Subic Bay, on the island of Luzon.  Only about 100 km from the capital city of Manila.

This new event will offer three distances, 1.5k, 3k & 5k, so there is something for everyone.  The races are sure to bring in the large triathlon and local swimming community and is supported by the Burt Lazoda Swim School.  Given the incredible beauty of the island and the water conditions here, as well as the promotion of tourism in this area, we expect to see a good contingent of swim travellers who are looking for a great destination race.  Enjoy.
