It has swimming, biking and running races, but isn’t a triathlon. You can pick and choose the events you want to compete in. And all of these events revolve around the largest suspension bridge in the world, at 2.9km long!
The Bridge Experience is a multi-day celebration of sports, culture and community outreach, including swimming, running and cycling. June 2, 2018 marks the first year that a structured crossing swim race will be a part of the Bridge Experience and it may just be the most exciting event in the Festival!
The event is held on and around the Rion-Antirion Bridge which connects the town of Rio on the Peloponnese peninsula to Antirrio on the mainland of Greece. The bridge is the longest of its kind in the world!
Proceeds from the events go to local and national charity organizations, so not only will it literally be a landmark swim, but you will also be benefiting local charities.
With great weather, a chance to visit amazing historical sites and take part in an amazing modern event, this is an experience you will want to be a part of! So book your tickets, the Bridge Experience is a trip you’re not going to want to miss!
