Swim For Kids
Easter Seals Ontario, the YMCA of Kingston and legendary marathon swimmer, Vicki Keith, have banded together to create a successful open water event in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
The Swim For Kids race is an open water swim opportunity for people of all ages. The event is a great fundraiser for 2 worthy causes, Easter Seals Ontario and the Kingston YMCA Penguins Aquatic Club.
Aside from the great cause and fantastic venue, the race has many other highlights as well, including a post-race breakfast and awards ceremony. There are participation and place medals available, as well as plenty of great prizes.
In 2018, 77 swimmers of all ages and abilities took part in 1.5 and 3 km swims in Lake Ontario and together raised over $45,000. Amazing prizes were awarded for the top 25 fundraisers including a 9 day kayaking trip to Costa Rica donated by Merit Travel, a kayak donated by Clear Water Designs and Ron Bell, a bicycle donated by Chris Carvalho of The Mortgage Professionals and a Via Rail round trip for 2. Prize medals were also awarded to first place swimmers in select categories.
