The Lisfannon to Ludden Swim is part of the Crana Swim Series, and as the name states, it is a 2.5k, point to point race in the picturesque waters of Lough Swilly.
The series will appeal to those who have a goal in mind for the up and coming season. As the series will provide the perfect opportunity to become ‘race fit’!
Crana Swim Series are delighted to confirm that proceeds from the Crana Swim Series, starting on the 2nd of June 2017, will be donated to Lough Swilly RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) and have already contributed over 10,000 Euro in the first 3 years!
Starting in the water at Lisfannon beach, swimmers will head for the point (along Lisfannon Golf Course) staying close to the rocks passing buoy 1. At the end of the rocks, swimmers will pass buoy 2 turning right and staying tight along the shoreline, but beware of the current after buoy 2, ensure you stay close to the shore! It is a fun and challenging course that is a great swim for swimmers of all abilities.
