Traversée du lac Tremblant
You won’t want to miss this weekend of open water swimming in world-renowned Mont-Tremblant!
Known for it’s skiing and natural beauty, this spectacular ski village sits an hour and a half from Montreal and less than 2 hours from Ottawa.
The weekend offers 3 exciting distances: the Desjardins 1km, the Go4Fund 3km and the Canada UltraSwim 12km
The Canada UltraSwim 12km is challenging and exhilarating, it is you and Mother Nature at the edge of almost impossible. It’s an epic adventure. It’s the swim of a lifetime. The Tremblant lake is 12 km long and the swimmers will cover its entire length. The athletes will be brought by boat to the starting point at the end of the lake, a nice remote zone, and along the travel they will be able to admire the beautiful mountains and an exceptional nature. During the competition, each swimmer will be accompanied by a kayaker who will ensure their safety. We have deployed a team that will ensure the supervision and safety of all participants.
The Village de la Traversée will be the welcoming and gathering place for athletes, spectators and exhibitors. The event is an adventure for the whole family since it is happening at Tremblant, the four-season vacation destination in the heart of the Laurentians, a resort internationally recognized for its accommodations, restaurants, lively all year events and providing all the services needed.
Located within driving distance of major cities in Canada and the US, as well as having an airport 45 minutes, makes this destination race accessible to all.
There are also internationally renowned participants coming out for the fun every year, including:
• Xavier Desharnais – long distance swimmer: 1st in Canada, 3rd in the world
• Magali Tisseyre – Canadian professional triathlete and spokeswoman for La Traversée
• Betrand Venturi – world cup coach and French elite open water swimmer
Don’t miss out on this incredible Canadian swim and an exhilarating natural experience!
